A family friend is requesting reiki for her mother, Joyce, in hospital in New Haven, Ct. He mom has a brain tumor and is in bad shape after radiation treatments. Permission has been given by Joyce for distance reiki and prayers.

Well, while sending Reiki, I definintely felt a draw moving out from me. I am not sure of any decisions being made however. This could be that you have a more personal link with her. Just know, she did accept this energy. It will go to where it is needed most. Let me know how she is doing over time. Thanks.

Although my mother needs a good dose of reiki (lol) it is a friends mother that is in need. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Unfortunately, while sending to this woman I picked up an icky spirit and had to smudge my whole house. Better now but learned a lesson!

Thank you for the encouragement. I looked into Karuna Ki as I would very much like to learn but read that I had to Reiki Master level to begin. Please e-mail me on this if what I read was incorrect.

I am receiving lev 2 attunement November 1. I have been sending without symbols thus far. I am hoping to go to Master level within a year, sooner if possible, then on to beginning my shaman path. The Karuna Ki would be lovely.

Yes, you are correct in understanding that it is a prerequisite of Karuna Ki to have been attuned to Reiki III/master level first. Also, congratulations on your upcoming level II attunement. Walk to your own beat. Remember you can follow your intuition as to the speed at which you advance on your path. If you find a year is good for you between attunements, wonderful. However, please follow your heart. In these times of uncertainty, if you feel you should walk alittle faster, do it. There is freedom in this. You alone can make these decisions. With that said, keep in touch and always be bathed in light.
