Namaste and Reiki Love and Light to all,

I'm a little concerned that I may be carrying a child that is not really timely at this point in my life.

Apart from the obvious of going to a doctor and having a test, does anyone have an ability to sense if this is true or not?

If anyone can shed some light it would be greatfully appreciated.

Merryn, I see from your profile that you live in Melbourne, Australia, which is a fairly large city, from my understanding. Do you have access to the wonderful, very accurate pregnancy tests from a pharmacy that we do in the U.S.? These are extremely accurate, and they are what we use in the health department where I work. The newest ones are able to detect a pregnancy very, very early (sometimes even before a menstrual period is late.)

There is no need to "sense" whether a pregnancy exists when such relatively inexpensive(and private)tests are available, I would think. There should be no need for a doctor visit if you have this option available to you. Of course, if the pregnancy is, indeed, a fact, then that will be another story.

- another pretty usual and obvious sign is cessation of menses

- of course if one has erratic menses to begin with then looking at other data will be needed

- I suppose ultrasound would be another non-invasive test
