This request is for my father, who is hospitalized in High Point, NC. He has been very ill for many years with congestive heart failure, emphysema and diabetes. (Honestly, it's amazing he's lived this long.)
Dad suffers from severe anemia brought on by excessive bleeding caused by blood thinners. He had to have 4 units transfused yesterday. He still sounds very weak on the phone.
Mom cares for him at home; she is also currently dealing with severe plumbing failures that damaged the first floor flooring and basement ceiling in their home. Today she found another leak in the bathroom. As if she doesn't have enought to deal with, eh?
Dad knows about Reiki and would appreciate energies sent to him. Mom is attuned to Reiki I.

Dad came home from the hospital yesterday, still very weak. They think he has a bleeder somewhere in his intestinal tract. He is considering doing a test where he swallows a small camera, which will allow doctors to view what's going on in there. If it's something fixable, the next hurdle is to make him strong enough to withstand surgery. At this point I think it will be up so him whether he wants to pursue treatment, which may only prolong his life a month or two.
He has always been the family provider and protector; I think it is time that we as a family reassure him that if he is ready, it is ok to let go, that we are going to be fine. He's done his job well, and it's time for him to rest. I think I'm ready to do that, but I can't say for sure that my Mom and my sister are.

Hope all is better with your mom and dad. I lost my daddy 5 years ago at age 63. It was quite sudden (his heart) and quick so I guess he was lucky in that respect.
I can say with certainty that it would have been a great help to know Reiki back then. You are so very lucky to have that knowledge of energy during this time so I know your philosophy with your father.
Keep us posted about them and I will send energy to them both to be used as needed!
