The Reiki Cafe 

My little (though by no means young) dog, Thor, has been having some trouble with his foot for several months. There's been a wound somewhere around the middle of his paw, which led to the discoloration of his skin and local swelling, as well as enough pain to make it recoil when it's touched. After nearly a month in which he appeared to be healing, he began limping two days ago, much as he had at the beginning of his turmoil. I can't really do much about it, other than allow my family to take him to the vet - an allopathic doctor, whose antibiotics only caused my dog to throw up and lose his apetite for a few days.

I've tried doing EFT, surrogate tapping for his pain and swollen paw, but nothing happened. While I know of little evidence, scientific or ortherwise, to support the idea of distance healing, I'm willing to see if it works on this matter. Aside from that, I'm also wondering if anyone here has successfully applied reiki as a self-treatment, without any prior attunements. If so, I might decide to use it on myself eventually.
