Mark, a friend, recently quit his job to become foreman for the local Habitat for Humanity division. "Less pay, and no benefits, how can I turn that down?" he quipped.
Please send support, gratitude and Reiki blessings to his ministry, and those who volunteer with him. Please allow Mark to grow in patience and wisdom as he teaches many of us with little construction experience. Thanks for the courage of Mark's trusting: I hope ripples of an ever-widening circle of care will flow forth to those who support, deliver and those receiving Habitat's blessings.
For myself, please send energy toward a forthcoming career change and for a memorial article I am working on. The article is about a friend with mental illness who died of an overdose of meds and alcohol - it will include his poems and sharings from his life and our friendship.
Let my voice be true, stripped of ego, preachy-ness, posturing, or 'deterimined preciousness' - these clutter my writing and obscure the message. Let Evan's voice, beauty, and our friendship shine through.
