The Reiki Cafe 

I am beyond tired. I have been checked out by doctors and had lots of tests and they can't find anything wrong with me. Everyone says its because my daughter is 11 months old and she's still waking up once a night.
Now she and I are both sick as well as my husband. Please send for all of us. I am currently fighting with my husband as well over how much he works and how much I take care of the baby. I'm tired, I'm sick, I'm worried, I'm forgetful, I feel like I have nothing left to give anyone and yet I have to keep going on.
I feel like I have a fever, and I have a sore throat. My daughter is coughing and has diarrhea. I also feel sore all over and like I said, I'm exhausted and naps don't help.
Please send. I'm in Missouri, have blonde hair and blue eyes, I'm 34 years old and I'm 5/7. My real name is Heather. I just feel silly asking when there are people with much more serious problems but I don't know what else to do. Thanks.

Hi Heather,

Did the doctors check out your thyroid? Some of the symptoms you mention can be related to an underactive thyroid.

I know how hard it is to be a mum. You give so much of yourself, that it is hard to find any 'you' time. Perhaps you could agree a set time with your husband everyday where you could just get an hour to yourself while he takes care of the little one. Don't lose heart, it does get easier :)

Thanks to you both. I have had my thyroid checked, and the first time one was low but the others were normal. They reran the tests and did antibodies and then everything was normal but one of the antibodies was high. They said it wasn't high enough to be significant. So now I don't know what to do!
