The Reiki Cafe 

Greetings to you all,
Someone close to me has requested Reiki and prayers for herself due to CHF. Congestive Heart Failure and is currently going through a procedure called angioplasty or something where they put a balloon tube from the groin to the heart. She currently only has 20% heart function. Thank you,

- Lili is added to my list for nightly Reiki practices

- a cardiologist would be the person with whom to consult - webMD is also a good source

- but, essentially, it is when the heart weakens and is unable to pump sufficiently to provide a proper supply of oxygen enriched blood to the body

- it is a serious condition because the weakness can lead to a back up of fluid into the lungs (bad stuff, that)

- mild to moderate exercise regimens are often recommended and OK if the person is not too debilitated

- as far as I know there is no known 'cure' for CHF
