Thank you to all who have been sending Reiki to Derrin. A brief update....

The open wound has cleared up nicely and the external infection healed. However, the lymph nodes are all still enlarged and further tests have confirmed that Derrin does have a strain of T.B, although the exact strain has not been determined. Derrin is now being treated using a combination of drugs that are used in chemotherapy and hence there are potentially very unpleasant side effects, especially the risk of liver damage. He has to have the treatment for 6 months. Continued healing would be gratefully appreciated. He is just 5 and lives in kent, England. I will keep you all updated on his progress.

- yes some strains of T.B. are now largely drug resistant to even the hi-end antibiotic cocktails

- is he being tried on Interferon by any chance?

- I will keep Derrin on my list for nightly Reiki practices with kids
