Reiki for withdrawl

Hello Friends,

I am being weaned off my anti-anxiey medication, which is a good thing. However, the medication is addictive. I am going through withdrawl, and having a lot of discomfort.

If anyone can send me Reiki, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Roxy

Congratulations, Roxy, on taking this step. I hope you are doing so with the advice/blessing of your healthcare provider.

In addn to reiki, 2 things that are likely to help: drink extra water - preferably not flouridated/chlorinated tap water, and bump up your intake of vitamin C. Don't go overboard, but a supplement of 1000mg spread through the day, e.g. 4 X 250mg, in addition to any fresh fruit etc you consume, is helpful. The adrenals are involved in the anxiety on a physiological response basis, and they need vitamin C to function optimally.

As vit C is water soluable, what you don't actually need simply flushes from your system.

Don't take 1000mg in a single dose. You're unlikely to need all of it in one go, so a lot will go down the toilet!

Good luck. I hope you are feeling better.

Thank you all for your help! This time my discomfort is a lot less than usual. I'm sure it's the Reiki. I have one more step down after this and I'll be off of it completely.

Suzibeth, I understand your concern about whether I'm doing this with doctor supervision. I am doing this at the direction and guidance of my psychiatrist. Thanks for the tip about the vitamin C.

Rock On!

Way to go, Roxy! That can be tough work, getting off the meds. Still, I've seen folks do it. Gut level desire plus Reiki plus good help and support often pulls them through.

Plus, I'm told by the energy watchers that this week's theme is breakthrough to peace and light. Catch the wave!

Blessings,
Aronaya

...greetings,

I occasionally purchase a small bottle of Rescue Remedy which is homeopathic, and good for stress and/or trauma and you spray under your tongue when stressed. I currently have been using it and it has ingredients (4 of them I beieve) which helps mental clarity, courage and other things. May help.

peace,

Prosperity

Dear Roxy,
You're welcome and Reiki is forthcoming. May I ask what anti-anxiety meds you were on as I have a friend who's on some anti-depressant and everytime she forgets to take it she has major anxiety. I do not want to take any of it.
thanks,
Prosperity
