The Reiki Cafe 

Baby Tate had been doing very well - he exceeded the medical staffs expectations until yesterday. (He will be 3 weeks old on wednesday and for those who did not read my first healing request was born at 26 weeks old.)

Yesterday he had to be taken back off the cpap ventilator to a traditional ventilator (which is a step backwards) and they are waiting for results to come back as to if he has an infection or not. Though they have started him on antibiotics - they must think it very likely he has.

His blood gas had not returned to where it should be and he is below his birth weight of 2lb 1 oz. At the moment everything is a bit uncertain.

If he is already on your reiki lists - please say an extra prayer for Tate and urgent reiki would as always be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to send energy, prayers or even positive thoughts his way.

Sky, I work in a NICU, will gladly send lots of healing to Tate! Joyce

Thank you Rainbow and Firekeeper - blood tests came back high protein levels which indicates infection.

They have to remove a long line from his head which could be the site of infection - though he is too ill today for them to try ..

I will update - as soon as he turns this around to stable again.

Thanks again for sending to him consistently - we truly appreciate it.

Thank you too Joyce - you probably understand the situation much better than I do.

It is a huge comfort to me, to know there are a few of us working on sending him reiki in different time zones - so he gets the goods round the clock.

Tate does have an infection and is back on full ventilation. The doctors said he is too tiny to fight infection and breathe at the same time. Fighting the infection is his top priority at the moment.

Little Tate has beat the infection and is back on the CPAP as of today.

Still a long road to go - but I am so happy he handled this so well. Big thank you to everyone who sent to him - I know it helped him a lot.

Please keep him on your lists he has months to go in the NICU.
