Hello Everyone,
Please, send Reiki to my husband John Davey who is in the hospital in Portsmouth, NH USA for atrial fibrillation, respiratory problems, and urinary problems. He has given permission for Reiki. He wants to get rid of ventricular tachycardia (V-tach)and its cause. The V-tach has shown up twice on the monitor. I have done hands on Reiki and distance Reiki, myself.
Please, send Reiki to me also to cope better with the stress of all this.
Let's get him healthy and home!
Thanks,
Blin

Please, keep sending Reiki for John. He was doing better yesterday and there were no "V-tachs". However, his cold is not getting better and he had a fever of 100 degrees. Please, prevent him from getting pneumonia. Please, send Reiki to get his confidence back as this has been a very traumatic experience for both of us. He is very thin and he needs to eat more.

Anybody out there?
John's temp has gone back down. He's off oxygen and he walked down the hall. But when he got back to his room, his oxygen level was below 90 percent. The dr's don't like that. The dr's are going to add magnesium to his regimen and if that doesn't stop the "V-tachs", then they will have to change his medication and we start all over again.
Please, also send Reiki so he can empty the bladder normally.
Thanks,
Blini

I got a call today from one of the doctors. I knew that couldn't be good and I was right. You know that sick feeling you get? John hadn't called me this morning so I called him. He had laryngitis. I'm thinking that's "great", one more burden to get thru. However later I found out it wasn't laryngitis. He didn't have enough air in him to talk. The dr called to say that they had to put a breathing tube in, which means they also had to put him out for it and ventilate him. They also did an endoscopy (a look-see) to see what the hell was down there that was causing all this trouble. He has some filmy stuff on his bronchial tubes. They took samples so they can grow cultures. His lungs are still fairly clear but the germies are definitely in there causing havoc. He will be put on anti-biotics.
Because of all this, he was moved to ICU. Seeing him in there with the damn tube down his throat and a machine breathing for him was quite upsetting to me. He was awake but he obviously can not talk to me. He can only blink. It's heartbreaking. He knew who I was. He said yes that he was cold so I got the nurse to get him another blanket. I gave him hands-on Reiki. They have actual signs for it in the ICU. It was the first time I've seen them. I told the nurse to have a Reiki practitioner work on him tomorrow if they're free to do so. She said they would.
We have a new doctor on our team, now. He's the pulmonary doctor. He's the one calling the shots now.
I talked to him and asked him when would this tube be removed. He said it would depend but not to be surprised if it is in there up to Saturday. God help us all! He said John's lungs are in a very stressed state. He is in danger. He is not breathing on his own yet. That could happen tomorrow. It might not. He will be sedated tonight and he will have a central line put in his chest. I can not believe how fast this is happening compared to how well he seemed to be doing the other day.
I really hate being so helpless even with the Reiki. I know I have to surrender this to God. I just don't know what else to do.

I will continue to send Reiki. I know how hard this is for you..............I remember the fear and dread as my beloved lay in a coma. Giving it to God is the best and hardest thing to do. My prayers are with you both.

John is out of ICU! He's in a regular hospital room He has no meal restrictions. Can you believe that? We figured he'd be eating liquid jello stuff for awhile. He had pancakes this morning and scrambled eggs and broth this evening. He's still on oxygen. He gets tired fast. Even talking wears on him. He is still hoarse. He's still seeing colors when he closes his eyes. The nurse told me the sedative should have worn off by now. So, for all my Reiki buddies out there, you might want to turn it down just a bit. One of the Reiki ladies had come in but John was really sensitive to her energy so he just declined her offer.
He's starting to realize what has happened to him which has been really scary. We've had 2 friends lose their mothers within 1 week. But John is still here. It really gets him in his heart if you know what I mean. It's got to me too.
Physical therapy has had him in and out of a chair a couple of times today. So tonight he was watching "American Idol". He has one more day of the antibiotic.
Baby steps,
Blin

Thank you all for your efforts.
Please, continue sending gently healing for the highest good for John. He's been in the hospital for 17 days. Please, heal laryngitis, loose bowels, great anxiety, and of course, his lungs. They want to move him to a rehab facility. We're scared. I've worked on his lungs, throat, head, tummy, and tried to draw off negative stuff by drawing energy down to his feet. I'm Reiki'ing the feet and intending the icky stuff to go thru me and into the ground to be recycled.
Please, keep sending to me as I need to be strong for him and it's been very hard.

Hi Guys,
John is still in the hospital. It is day 23. Every time we think they're going to move him to the rehab center, something happens. Every other day they're taking chest X-rays. We've been doing our advanced directive and power of attorney paperwork in case John "crashes" again. That was hard to do but necessary. They keep taking samples to make sure he does not have pneumonia. I asked the dr why so many X-rays if they've already told us he doesn't have pneumonia anymore? He said that his lungs are so fragile that they have to keep doing it.
The other night I noticed there was a lot of blood in his catheter tube. That did not make me happy and I asked the nurse to call his doctor about it. His doctor had gone home but the on-call dr was in the ER. However, he did order a culture done and he indeed, does have a buggie growing in there. He is on anti-biotics again. The dr also took him off his blood thinner, coumadin. (duh! good idea) John had a fever today. But he is not in any pain. The dr's think the coumadin is what's causing the bleeding. It's so frustrating! He has to take the blood thinner so he doesn't get clots but then they have to take him off cause he won't stop bleeding. Augggghhh! So, of course, he's not ready to be moved.
Good news. (Yes, I do need some.) John walked out of his room yesterday and today with the help of the physical therapist and a little down the hall. 40 steps then 80 feet. He was so overwhelmed, he just cried. He also needs help sleeping thru the night even with a sleeping pill. He got his voice back for a bit.
Please, keep sending to me too. The stress is a lot to bear. I'm so tired.
You know you've been at the hospital wayyy too long when the nurses on the floor know you (the spouse) by your first name.

dear blini, I'm so sorry that this has been so hard for thee and your husband. when one's system has been weakened...especially with not being able to move for so long, it makes it easier for other low things to happen....but John's walking is so wonderful. You have both come so far and learned so much....Spirit continues to carry you both in loving arms.....as do we....with energy and love.

There are some new developments. Because of the use of broad spectrum anti-biotics, John now has C-DIFF which is an intestinal bacteria that is now growing way too much. This causes bad diarrhea. His phosphorus is low and they are replenishing that along with elecrolytes and probiotics. He's only 110 lbs. They have moved him to isolation. Please, help him to get back into balance. It seems like every time we move a baby step forward, we go 2 steps back.
The good news is that he walked to his room door (with O2) and back and later walked to the nurse's station but had to be wheeled back. Other good news is he's off Coumadin. Between bleeding from the urinary tract and the nose, they had to give him 4 packs of plasma. I was not happy. I think that stuff was doing more harm than good. Now he gets baby aspirin.
Please keep sending to him and to me.
Thank you,
Blini

lady, I wish you and your husband well, but while I read the thread, a wave of heat went through me. I do hope it was reiki and that its winging its way to you and yours with good intent and in the highest of divine order.
I recently had an endoscope and colonoscope. Everything worked out fine except I have a hiatus hernia. Small fry in comparison to what your hubby is going through, I know.
Even this little (reiki) may help while I type.
I truly wish it so.
God Bless.

Hello Everyone,
Please, keep sending Reiki to my husband John. He was moved to a rehab facility 2 weeks ago Wednesday. It has been very hard. I just got a call that he has pneumonia again and just when we thought we were out of the woods with the antibiotics, the x-rays shows bilateral pneumonia.
He's in a catch-22 situation with the COPD he already has. He needs to move, strengthen his muscles, and be able to have enough lung capacity to keep away fluid buildup in the lungs and pneumonia. Yet, he needs the air capacity to move, strengthen his muscles, cough, eat, and talk. It's been a 6 week nightmare!
Please, keep sending Reiki to the both of us for our highest good. (I'm having a hard time seeing that right now.)
Thanks,
Blini

Please keep sending Reiki to my husband, John for his highest good. (and to me too.)
He's still getting anti-biotics for pneumonia but his breathing is much better. Thank you everyone. Yesterday he was dressed for the first time in 6 weeks. He had been sitting in a chair from 9AM to about 7PM, getting up for PT or to stretch or to change positions. His eyes look good and he's eating more.
We want him to be able to come home and do the things he could do before if not more.
