The Reiki Cafe 

Dear all,

Fifi is just 3 months old, a cute lovable girl child. Around two weeks before she started a regular cry that brings tear to everyone around her. Almost everyday she starts to cry late evening and nonstop for 3-4 hours. She almost chokes and stops when getting tired only. She sometimes cries that way in between sleeps also. It seems a deep painful cry, not the normal baby cry. Even doctors are not sure what can be the reason, they are not willing to give any medication since she is quite young and tells just to bear it. Only we parents can understand the pain behind the cries that cut deep in our hearth. Her mother becomes inconsolable when she cries like that, I am her father. Please send healing energies to her, to cure whatever she is undergoing through. Please.

Is it possible that she might have colic? My eldest daughter was like this as a baby and she suffered from colic.

- you said that the Drs are not willing to give her medications

- this suggests to me they have some idea as to what might be at the root of her crying - what have they said?

- my first impression would be colic

- so it is no one's fault

- there is no established cause of colic or why some babies have it and some do not - colic is unconsolable crying for more than 3 hrs per day

- generally colic resolves itself by age 3 months or so

- male and female infants have colic at about the same frequency so it is not because the baby is female

- try gentle rocking or other easy motion, add music to the background noise - add an extra feeding if she will nurse

- otherwise it is likely just a matter of time till she out grows this phase

- hope this helps

Doctors did not explicitly tell colic but I suspected it to be so. This being our first baby you can understand the condition. My wife cries seeing the pain in the baby.

Just praying that it ends soon.

Colic is a possibility, however doctors have not mentioned it explicitly.

Apart from the pain of our baby I am also concerned about the state of mental health of my dear wife who gets a breakdown whenever the situation of our daughter worsens. This being our first child the conditions are difficult for all of us. It is tough for me to see two love's of my life getting into pain and sorrow.

I have sent Reiki to your daughter as requested. I have sent you and your wife Reiki individually too. If your daughter has Colic ( it seems thats what it is )it would be helpful to give her a gentle massage as the pain eases when you relax. It is important that your wife is relaxed as well because babies pick up very quickly if their parents are stressed. love light and peace to you and you family xx

It was many many lives ago....or seems so....I had colic as a babe....and mama says that the only thing that helped was my sleeping on my da's warm chest. Has her breathing been assessed? Her nasal passages, I mean? If they are obstructed....she'd cry to gain more air....thru her mouth.
