The Reiki Cafe 

Hello friends - my husband and I have been trying to have another baby for 5 years now. We have a 7 y/o daughter. We do not know why our prayers have not been answered yet. We are asking for healing so that we are able to conceive another baby despite whatever has prevented us from doing so thus far. I am also certified in Reiki 2, but I am out of practice. Any tips for how I can help myself with this particular healing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

- did conception occur quickly with the first child?

- with another 5 years under your belts, have you sougth consultation with a reputable fertility clinic?

- as for Reiki? Over the years I have been at The Cafe there have been a few similar inquiries

- to my knowledge we have had no feedback whether any suggestions provided here were of help (if anyone is able to comment otherwise I am sure it will be welcome) - help being that pregnanacy occurred at some point after suggested practices were included in 'getting pregnanat practices'

- I would say, tho, that if you have not done any hands-on Reiki for yourself and your husband that you might certainly try this for a while

- perhaps if you apply the energy with mindful intentions about having another child your efforts will bear fruit

Dear amethystmoon, Was your first birthing a difficult one? Ocassionaly, changes occur in the pelvis and sacrum that can interfere with conceiving, again....craniosacral technique often can clear this up.

I too suffered infertility after our first daughter was born. She was conceived easily and the pregnancy and birth were 'textbook'. We started trying for another baby when she was 9 months old. After 2 years with no success we started the process of infertility investigations. My husband was told he had a low count. At one point 5 years and one miscarriage later we were told that the only way we were ever going to have another child was through IVF treatment. At that point we gave up, accepted that maybe it was meant to be that we would be blessed with only one child and got ourselves a puppy. 3 months later I conceived naturally and went on to have another beautiful baby girl. We didn't bother with contraception afterwards because we figured we didn't need to and much to our surprise 18 months later I was pregnant again and we had our son. I share this story with you because I truly believe that stress is a major factor in unexplained infertility. My whole focus at one point was about getting pregnant, making love had purely become about conceiving and we had lost all the spontaneity and joy. If you have haven't had any investigations, then you should just to make sure that you are ovulating etc.

I know it's incredibly difficult to do but if you can just 'let go' and focus your energies elsewhere then that would help to relax you. Reiki would also help to relax you, just place your hands on yourself and let it flow :)

Yes, the first was quick and we have sought out a few fertility doctors at this point with no success thus far after trying several attemps at IUI and IVF. We have only one miscarriage to, unfortunately, report. Im sure a lot of this has to do with the fact that I am losing hope and have a lot of negativity. I try to stay positive, but after so many failures at this, its hard to stay positive. Thank you for your email - I have responded.

Ponderings - my pregnancy was easy. However, I did have to have a c-section since she was breech and I have also had a d and c, very unfortunately, due to a miscarriage. Thank you for the tip on craniosacral technique. I have never heard of this before, but have looked it up to get more information.

Rainbow - are stories are very similar. Our issue is also mainly male factor related and we also suffered a miscarriage. Although we have tried IVF treatment. Your story is inspiring and I pray that ours will also have a happy ending.

I do need to practice reiki on myself more - so thank you for the reminder and the positive thoughts.

So glad that you found it, Hon. The fact that your first babe was breech indicates that craniosacral was needed. The sacrum compression-decompression technique is very gentle and yet has powerful results.
