At first on day of accident(april 22) whew, did it upset "my" plans... when told that required surgery to set the two bones in lower leg and would have to be admitted, then I was a basketcase of frustrations...."I" was in full steam and had the rest of the month all planned out, time for study, reiki, personal growth, sharing,...was not inc. By last weekend, reviewing the week, it crossed my thoughts how what a wonderful set of teamwork it was at the emergen cy toom, the 2nd floor staff that was in charge of people in those rooms, and the bone doctor and the operating staff, there was also a pysical therapist, clean linens and floors, and food sent from people working in a kitchen...
It really was a beautiful act of temawork, different people, different responsibilities, from 7:40 one morning to 11:30 the next day when I went home, And my husband has been so gracious taking care of me, the bones are healing well,(ha ha, the "itching" provides a great opportunity for meditation and mindfulness~between a little wiggling of foot to feel like could ease the itch!)
There is now another month to finish moving & taking care of little and big things that were getting rushed or put side.
Now there is a moment to retreat, remember patience, acknowledge & be grateful...for each new day...instead of getting in my own way assuming "I" have to do it all myself.
Simply to slow down and apply things learned in last months...

ps yes i know there was a time horses were put down for a broken leg, even a horse's leg can be set for healing nowadays
