Check this site out if you want to buy drums that take up little space and are really quiet. I even contacted the guy that put up this site to give my son lessons in my Upper East Side apartment.

This room is on roughly 7' by 14' with a 3' by 4' closet in the corner. Though with a single bed, it lends itself to the creative decorator. The brownstone is located on a quiet street in uptown Hoboken. Commute into the city is easy with the bus a block away or a 15 minute walk to the Path. Neighborhood is quiet, with grocery stores, bars, pharmacies, etc. nearby.

This will be great for someone who is laid back, easy to get along with, don't need a lot of space, and considerate (as we are considerate people). You will be on the third floor of this three-story brownstone (we have the 2nd and 3rd to us), exclusive use of the third floor bathroom and shared use of the kitchen and living room. In the summer, we have coordinated (with the landlord) access to the backyard for having a few friends over for BBQ or just reading/relaxing. Laundry is free in the basement. We sleep in on the weekends and would prefer you to do the same (or just be considerate and keep morning noise levels minimal). Flexible lease terms, one-month deposit is required.
