An English school (in Brooklyn / Greenpoint) is looking for a Spanish teacher for the staff. We need somebody with native (or native-like) Spanish and second-language teaching experience to teach a group of 5-6 teachers. The course is supposed to take about 6 weeks of 1-hour meetings twice a week. All the students don't know any Spanish and what is needed is a very intensive basic Spanish course first (for the first 4 weeks), and then about four hours of job-specific practice (answering phonecalls and giving information about the school). The teacher will only be given general guidelines as far as the curriculum and syllabus are concerned and is expected to be able to prepare the lessons themselves (expenses being covered by the school). Eventually, this position will become a paid full or part time position, in regards to the level of your expediance. Job will include: Scheduling DJs, bands, performers, musicians, dancers, instructors. Scheduling and handling of food and product vendors.
