October 15, 2005 (Pt. Pleasant, NJ) -- On any given weekday or weekend, you’d hear the Mike Dalton Band jamming and Rock-n-Rollin to welcoming any season with their fans at any of the many venues they perform at. Although, this particular day, October 15, 2005, will be much different than the norm for these guys.
At 3:00 PM, the Mike Dalton Band gig will be a little bit different at this particular venue. Mike Dalton, Eddie Carson, Jimmy Druiett, and Nick Massaro take the stage at Community Park, along with many other musicians. Their common goal and focus will all be the same that day; to raise moneys to help benefit the victims from Katrina, and now, Rita.
The Mike Dalton Band will donate their time to perform a set of their original tracks and new tracks off of their recent release, GLIDER, for those in attendance and for those victims of the past hurricane disasters in the Gulf Coast. The Mike Dalton Band has and continues to exemplify the meaning of compassionate and humanity. Most importantly, they know the value of what family and community means, and it doesn’t just stop in their own backyard. The Mike Dalton Band has been called on before to help out fellow friends local and across the Nation, and this time will be no different.
On October 15th the Pt. Pleasant Borough is sponsoring this benefit jam and at 3:00 PM the Mike Dalton Band will take the stage. They plan on giving one of their most outstanding and emotionally performances ever to help those victims in need.
Other fellow musicians who are also taking part in this benefit include: The Mangos, Billy Hector, Stir Crazy, No Left Turn, Disgruntled Postal Workers, Black Momba and Gary Cook and the Cookbooks. All proceeds from the event will be turned over to the hurricane victims to help restore their lives.
The Mike Dalton Band asks loyal fans and friends to help be a part of this special event. By making your donations, you are helping the victims in the Gulf coast that truly need...More
