I am a married, forty year old father of four, born on a wheat farm in Eastern Washington. We are blessed to have been able to buy a home, which I have remodeled and improved over the last 8 years, but which is fully mortgaged. My wife and I operate two small business’, a service business for 11 years, and a small coffee shop, which have supported us thus far, but as business cycles have swung, find ourselves getting farther and farther behind, the credit cards mounting, and the interest payments beginning to take their toll. I feel like Joe Average American, with all of the good and the bad that comes with it, and just keep working at it day by day.
Let me admit forthright that I have my faults, but having worked hard, innovated and invested enough to feel I am worthy of some help, I am going to put this out there, and pray that there is someone who is in a position to believe in us and help us. I don’t know where else to go or who to talk to. The banks are not interested in us anymore. Though we are current on every debt we owe, our debt to income ratio has depleted our credit score, and debt consolidation companies cannot help us, until we get so far behind that we miss monthly payments.
So here it is, I have said it, I am seeking an Angel for financial relief. Please understand, we have things to offer in return, such as some modest antiques, collectibles, my artwork, even our coffee shop. I would give up all of our worldly possessions, if you are interested in goods, simply for an opportunity to experience the Real American Dream of being debt free.
