We offer day trips most weekends (and some weekdays) to the most beautiful and spectacular parks, forests, and mountain areas in downstate New York, northern New Jersey, western Connecticut, and nearby states. There are hikes on the vast majority of Saturdays, Sundays & Wednesdays year-round, cross-country ski trips during the winter months, and wilderness camping trips April-October. The trips range in difficulty from easy to strenuous, and transportation is provided from Manhattan's Upper West Side. Beginners are welcome, as are experienced hikers, skiers, and campers. The trips are led by author and licensed guide Charlie Cook, who has led more than 1350 trips over the years. Our name is Wild Earth Adventures, and this is our 26th year.
