Imagine a warm summer day, you're floating down a calm winding river, and then all of a sudden the rapids appear! There are rafts in front of you, rafts behind you, but all you can hear is the adrenaline rush of your raft mates yelling, "ROW RIGHT, NO ROW LEFT, NO RIGHT, NO LEFT".....and then you whoosh past boulders and spin around in circles, you buck up against rocks, slip under low tree branches, and then just as quickly as they appeared they disappear and all is calm. If you're lucky, no one has spilled overboard, and if they have, most likely they've been pulled aboard another raft to be retrieved later down the river!
Ah, the thrills of white water rafting! It's that time of the year again. Time to head out west for the dam releases. The ride down the river is approximately 4 1/2 - 5hrs. (including a lunch break on the side of the river) and definitely a thrilling experience! We only WWR locally on dam release weekends to ensure the best water conditions!
