General questions

What do you do for a living?

I work for a major record company managing inventory (CDs) and several staffers.

What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?

Treat others as you would like to be treated. Be positive and optimistic.

What are your favorite books?

"Forrest Gump" immediately comes to mind. Also, almost anything by Lawrence Block or Randy Wayne White.

What type of books do you like to read?

Mysteries/thrillers; comic novels; assorted non-fiction (especially fishing)

What type of movies or television shows do you watch?

Many types of movies, but comedies are probably my favorite. Television shows: 24; Sex & the City; Arliss; Ed (sometimes); Friends. I still miss Seinfeld. I also watch sports, especially college footbal and March madness.

What kind of music do you like?

Some of every genre, but predominately in the rock/pop vein.

What type of foods do you like to eat?

I like seafood, Italian, Thai, German, Chinese, but I'm just as happy eating a good burger (not a fast food type), thin-crust pizza, or a turkey sandwich. I'm not big on desserts, but once in a while I like cheesecake, rice pudding, key lime pie; sorbet; vanilla and/or chocolate ice cream, or oatmeal cookies. I love pretzels--and beer!

Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?

Depends on the issue.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love going to the beach or just being near the ocean. I fish (mostly saltwater fly fishing), kayak, wade/swim; body surf--or just sit on the beach and read. I also like to run, hike, ski (downhill or x-country), almost any outdoor activity (except skating--don't ask).

On the urban side, I enjoy movies, plays, live music, eating out, street fairs, etc.

What are some of your interests?

Besides the stuff above, I like to travel and go to Notre Dame football games.
