What do you do for a living?
I am a software engineer/technology consultant/computer programmer.
What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?
I'm spiritual and believe in a higher being, or God, but I don't subscribe to any organized religion. I believe true faith is a deep personal relationship with whatever God you believe in.
What are your favorite books?
To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, by Betty Smith
From Beirut to Jerusalem, by Thomas L. Friedman (an excellent historical perspective on the Middle East conflict)
What type of books do you like to read?
I read mostly non-fictions. Anything political, biographies of interesting people in history, unique perspectives on life, etc. Currently reading "The Inmates are Running the Asylum", by Alan Cooper.
What type of movies or television shows do you watch?
I like to watch PBS, Discovery, C-SPAN, any science and nature show, Nova, Omni, National Geographic, history show, documentaries, big Star Trek fan. For movies, I enjoy romantic comedies and dramas.
What kind of music do you like?
Classic 60's rock, Beatles, Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Scorpions, Don McClean
What type of foods do you like to eat?
I enjoy all types of food, the stipulation is that it does not contain any onions, scallion, leek or anything in that family (Yuk!)
Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?
Definitely liberal, although I vote indepently. I would've voted for John McCain had he been the Republican Candidate. I enjoy reading Noam Chomsky, Edward Said, etc. People who just met me tend to think I'm conservative. What's up with that ???
What do you like to do for fun?
Read Read Read. Reading the NY Times. Going to the beach in summer. Travel (I've gone to a number of European countries), movies

What achievements in your life are you most proud of?
I have 4 nieces and 2 nephews and I'm their favorite uncle! I love them to death.
