I'm a graduate of Stevens Tech, and I love Hoboken! I now live in Springfield with my
wonderful boyfriend, also a Stevens grad, but am trying to keep up with the Mile
Square's happenings. I used to perform with and work on the technical crew of the
Stevens Dramatic Society, plus do their Publicity, and sang in the college glee club. I
enjoy open mic nights, walking along the waterfront, and watching bad movies with
good friends. Interesting fact: I collect PEZ and own nearly 300 dispensers. My favorite
alcoholic beverage is a Long Island Iced Tea (though I'm trying to drink less
nowadys...), and my favorite band is R.E.M.

I miss open mic night (stopped going many moons ago when they had those meanie
bouncers before I was 21 - longer ago than seems possible! - and I hope some day I'll
find the time (and money!) to come back to town and hang out.

General questions

What do you do for a living?

I wish I knew what I wanted to be when I grow up. Somehow I keep coming back to tutoring, but it's
not exactly a career!

What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?

My philosophy? Do what feels right. Trust your gut, be an individual, and don't be afraid to act nutty in public!

What are your favorite books?

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Death Gate Cycle (all my favorites seem to come in series!)

What type of books do you like to read?

Fantasy, SciFi

What type of movies or television shows do you watch?

Movies vary. I typically don't like "chic flicks" or "gangsta" (with an "a") movies. Bad movies have
great potential for fun nights of drinking with your friends (Try "Ring of Darkness," "The
Sisterhood," "Gingerdead Man," and the occasional non-horror flick like "Miss Cast Away"). I like
watching cartoons and sci fi television shows (The Simpsons, Family Guy, CSI, Star Trek)

What kind of music do you like?

Varied. Most everything except country, R&B, and Rap. My favorite band is R.E.M., and I also enjoy bands like Radiohead, U2, Tom Petty, Garbage, Depeche Mode, VNV Nation, Peter Gabriel, and Led Zeppelin

What type of foods do you like to eat?

My favorites are starchy American foods like Fries and Pizza, but I love a good steak now and again.

Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?

On most issues I'm pretty liberal, but as I get older i find myself more in the middle about things. I'm a Capitalist at heart, and though I think there are times to help your fellow man, there are also times when you're allowed to be successful and enjoy things for yourself.

What do you like to do for fun?

Theater, Singing, Reading, Writing Poetry, doodling, hanging out with friends

What are some of your interests?

all of the above i guess :) I also collect PEZ and toy ducks and occasionally pick up my guitar.

What achievements in your life are you most proud of?

Doing over 50 hours of community service each semester of my last 2 years at Stevens with Alpha

Went to Stevens.

What do you like about Hoboken?

The view of the skyline and the Hudson, the parks, the access to the city, and everything you could need within walking distance

What do you dislike about Hoboken?

The smells (if i suddenly found i was blind, i could still find my way around by smelling my way home!), the lack of parking, drunk people in the streets on the weekend
