married with three lovely children i spend most of my time working to support my family 'which i split between working at a high security mental hospital and the construction industry.
i get plenty of chance to experience the highs and lows that the buddhists call the ocean of samsara.
i try to model myself on a tibetan peasant'one who is earthy and grounded in the world but with an eye on and a deep respect for the spiritual world.
i received my first reiki attunment about 18 months ago from which point i was told that reiki has a habit of turning your world upside down.
i can report that where i am concerned they were'nt lying'i went from a usual calm to choppy waters to a full blown force 10 gale in this samsaric ocean.but i can report i'm still here and still smiling( just!)
i beleive that reiki has been working its magic 'but i still dont have much in the way of results giving reiki to others 'almost a feeling that it is'nt time yet.
but i hope to post a few questions on the cafe to perhaps get a few answers and possibly some help.
as for hobbies i'm into everything and anything but i try to see it all as projection of the mind.

What do you do for a living?
i work as a nursing assistant at a world famous high security mental hospital and i also have been in construction in some form all my life.
What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?
mainly tibetan buddhism but i have an interest in anything spiritual.

spiritual and historical books
What type of movies or television shows do you watch?
any comedy most documentries and dare i say i do love a good war film.
i think it most be a bloke thing but with a very dodgy karmic outcome.

anything and everything but i must admit i have teenagers and therefore have an inbuilt aversion to rap music

i have a computer but it does'nt love me.
What achievements in your life are you most proud of?
my family and the fact that i have a wonderful spiritual path which is headed by hh the dalai lama. he really is very special you know.

i did'nt find reiki, i have been pursuing it for years and i don't know why but i'm glad i have.
