Description

I am a writer, artist, teacher and Reiki master in the tradition of Reiki Jin Kei Do. My first book; 'Reiki Jin Kei Do: The Way of Compassion & Wisdom' is to be followed by a second book on the teachings of the lineage of Reiki Jin Kei Do, which I am editing. This second book is being written by eight masters within the lineage, including the lineage head, Dr Ranga Premaratna.

I divide my time between my work and my two wonderful children whom I do not see enough of, but always send Reiki to.

General questions

What do you do for a living?

I am a writer, artist, teacher and Reiki master and all round creative person - a traveller through life's byways and I just happen to make money as I go doing as I please.

What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?

Buddhism, Taoism and pretty much all the other religions as they all say the same thing if you can get behind the human dogma. Love Islam - what a great religion!

What are your favorite books?

Lord of the Rings.
Harry Potter.
Lots of Arabic writing.
Kafka. Camus.

What type of books do you like to read?

Pretty much any genre. Depends entirely on my mood or what I happen to be researching at the time.

What type of movies or television shows do you watch?

Action movies.
Anything with Jimmy Stewart.
Love Hitchcock.

What kind of music do you like?

All - though not keen on most New Age.

What type of foods do you like to eat?

Vegetarian and Vegan. Used to be a fruitarian but got sick of dietry self-flagellation

Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?

Liberal.

What do you like to do for fun?

Go to the movies, a bar, sit and have a coffee with friends. Qi Gong.

What are some of your interests?

Art, literature, travel, far off places...other cultures. adventure!

What achievements in your life are you most proud of?

Helping to bring my two wonderful children, Marianne and Sam into the world.
Writing the world's first book on Reiki Jin Kei Do.

I came across Reiki in a copy of Kindred Spirit magazine back in 1995 and have been involved in Reiki since April 1996.
