i use other modalities like shamanism and accupressure in my healing and im always willing to hear about other new and exciting methods that come up (all the new methods are exciting to me!..smile..)

General questions
What do you do for a living?
hmmm ...just noticed that all of my "jobs" are health care related ..my full time -otherwise known as 'real job'- is as a supervisor for a clinical marketing office ..i work part time and on call for an animal trauma center ..my dream now is to be able to make a living by being a healing practitioner, teacher and possibly author.

What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?
i was born and raised for the most part as a Roman Catholic but have always found myself uncomfortable with any 'standard' religion. i believe that there is a God and no matter what u call God, God is still -well-God ..lol..and it doesnt matter what we call God in the end. i have found that there are useful parts and pieces of knowledge in almost any religion..The only religions i can say i dont have an interest to learn anything from are the ones that teach subjegation is required by god because of your gender or caste ..or those that teach that one group of people is better than another...

What are your favorite books?
my all time favorite book is The Once and Future King by T S Elliot

What type of books do you like to read?
i like just about anything ..except romances

What type of movies or television shows do you watch?
i dont normally watch tv ..if i do, it will be a historical documentary or maybe the Discovery Channel

What kind of music do you like?
my favorites are classical and big band ..i also like Native American and some new age ..i can listen to just about anything except rap and hip hop ..

What type of foods do you like to eat?
i am a lacto-ovo vegetarian..smile..i like spicy foods >>thai..smile..
and have a killer sweet tooth ..i like fruits and most veggies ..and i have to admit, i am actually lovin' the new meat substitutes they have out ..cant wait to try the tofukey they have for thanksgiving ;p

Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?
no doubt..liberal...smile

What do you like to do for fun?
er ..i like to play rpgs on the computer ..i also write to relax...

What are some of your interests?
making beaded jewelery, reading, writing and of course growing in my healing knowledge

What achievements in your life are you most proud of?
taking that step to go into noncenventional healing modes and sticking with it

How did you find Reiki and how long have you been involved with Reiki?
i found rei ki on a first date about 10 years ago ..lol.. i kinda stored the info in the back of my mind and turned it around briefly when my grandmother was terminally ill but i never had a chance to really expand into it before she died .. one day, 3 years later shortly after her husband died, i suddenly decided i had to diet (i had put on 100 lbs when grandma died) and it was also "TIME" to do something about rei ki and healing in general ..so i went to the New Age bookstore and bought a book on shamanism to add to my collection ..lol..and picked up a copy of their class schedule which had-u got it-Rei ki classes listed

What style or styles of Reiki do you practice?
The Rei ki i practice is Usui ..altho i never use strictly Rei ki in my healings-i also use Shamanism

What other (if any) healing modalalites have you practiced besides Reiki?
Shamanism, accupressure and massage ...i am also interested in what Julie Molitz calls "healing hands"
