Description
I found Reiki in 1995 with my first Reiki session when I was suffering severe back trouble. The pain miraculously went away completely.
In 1997, I began my journey as a healer with my first attunement. In 1998, I completed my Reiki training through Master level in the Usui System of Natural Healing. I began practicing the healing and teaching in 1999 and completed my healing certification at the Institute for Spiritual Development in Washington, DC. In 2000, I started the Reiki Center of Greater Washington in Rockville, MD. In 2001, I received my training in Karuna Reiki (R) which has let me discover the wonderful world of sound in healing!
I did my training in Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki in June 2003. That same month (perhaps as a result of my attunement to that energy matrix), my full-time "normal" job ended, and I became a full-time Reiki Healer and Teacher. It's been quite an adventure, but I'm glad I'm here!
I'm now teaching classes around the United States and at my center in Rockville, MD. You can see my various classes at (for the Maryland classes), (for the power spot classes), and (for the shamanic work).

How did you find Reiki and how long have you been involved with Reiki?
I found Reiki at a Introductory Class at a bookstore in Falls, Church Virginia where I received my first attunement in 1997. Two years before that, I had received a session that was very powerful for me when I was in the midst of great physical pain. It took the pain away completely and planted a seed that I grew from over the next three years.
My Reiki I and II were taught by Liz Tarr in Columbia, MD in March 1998. After Reiki II, I began to practice with a chronically ill woman with breast cancer. She began to improve and I realized that I wanted to be a healer as a major part of my life.
In October 1998, a bit sooner than I had planned, I took my Reiki III Master training from Marie Ciocciola in Brandywine, MD. This had the affect of solidfying Reiki and my life for me.
I began teaching Reiki in 1999 and gave my first Reiki III course to a wonderful group of students in June 2001 when I celebrated my 40th birthday weekend at the top of a mountain in Virginia.
In November 2001, I did my Karuna Reiki(TM) Practitioner/Master training with Laurelle Gaia in Delray Beach, FL. This got me so excited about the power of sound and Reiki that I seriously began to work towards becoming a full-time healer.
In June 2003, I did my Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki training with Carole Wright at Special Treasures shop in Gaithersburg, MD. This opened my heart greatly and cleared a past life death experience in Egypt as well.
What style or styles of Reiki do you practice?
I practice Usui, Karuna Reiki(R), and Sekhem-Seichim Reiki (SSR) as a independent master/teacher.
What other (if any) healing modalalites have you practiced besides Reiki?
Crystal healing, gentle rocking, reflexology, body readings, auric healing, polarity, craniosacral, accupressure, regression.
