I am a 34 year old mother of 2 boys. My journey in Reiki has been an extremely educational one, albeit short. If I had it to do over again, I believe I would have taken more time between levels.
Now that I am an Usui Reiki Master, I am looking very much foreward to helping people heal, learn and grow.

General questions
What do you do for a living?
I'm a Graphic Design major at the Art Institute of Atlanta
What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?
I call myself Pagan because, by Christian definition anyone who is not Christian is Pagan. I believe that all gods are fragments of the ONE god and that it doesn't matter what path you follow as long as it is non-destructive and it brings you closer to whatever label you choose to put on God/dess.
A Protestant priest once told a friend of mine that if he didn't like the god he had...fire him and get a new one :-) That's one of the most enlightened thing I think I've ever heard from a Christian religeous leader.
What are your favorite books?
Anything by Sylvia Browne. She's not exactly on, but she's pretty darn close.
What type of books do you like to read?
Right now, just school text books. When I have time, I like to read books that advance my spiritual journey.
What type of movies or television shows do you watch?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charmed. Kinda cheezy, I know, but they're cute.
My favorite movies are 'The Color Purple', Princess Bride', 'Ladyhawke', 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' and 'Dogma'
What kind of music do you like?
Anything but Polkas :-)
What type of foods do you like to eat?
:-( I can't eat anything good right now...I'm in the process of shedding 100lbs.
Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?
It depends on whether you're talking about artistically or politically. Artistically, I'm extremely liberal. I like to do things just for shock value sometimes. Politically, I'm a conservative.
What do you like to do for fun?
Go to movies, gallery openings, theater, good restaruants (when I'm not on this !@#$ diet)and other cultural events.
What are some of your interests?
Spirituality, birds (we have an Umbrella Cockatoo and a Cinnamon Pied Cockateil), crystals, Renaissance Faires and clothing (I am half-owner of a web-based renaissance clothing corporation)computers and antique swords are among some of my favorite things.
What achievements in your life are you most proud of?
I have two happy, healthy, well-adjusted sons who are 12 and 11. They are my big pride and joy.
Going back to school after 13 years is also another big one for me.

How did you find Reiki and how long have you been involved with Reiki?
I researched Reiki for about a year before my first attunement on 5/26/01. I discovered it when a friend of mine mentioned it to my husband. She thought he was a natural healer, but he showed no interest until after I had my attunement. Now he wants to go next month :-) He has since gone and is waiting for me to attune him.
What style or styles of Reiki do you practice?
I was attuned by both a traditional and non-traditional Master, though my style is slightly shamanistic. My teacher introduced me to intonements when I run into a cloudy area. He taught me to listen for a tone and re-create it myself along with an accompanying vowel sound. It works wonders and Robert says I'm a natural at it.
What other (if any) healing modalalites have you practiced besides Reiki?
I was not a healer before my attunement, though I *am* empathic and mildly psychic.
