am working in delhi. have two school going children. reiki helped me to cure myself from a number of health related issues. now am devoted to reiki and help others through reiki. also teach it to those who wish to learn. i belong to dharmshala in himachal pradesh, where his holiness the dalai lama lives. besides reiki like cooking,do oil painting. know a bit of numerology and palmistry which i learned from my father.

What do you do for a living?
am working as a middle level officer.
What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?
by birth am a hindu but believe in the goodness of all religions, the basic teachings are the same. the paths of spiritual progress may be many but the destination is the same.
What are your favorite books?
many lives many masters, the alchemist, autobiography of a yogi, the monk who sold his ferrari etc anything about spiritualsm, or a book that has some meaning in it.
What type of books do you like to read?
meaningful books as indicated in the favourite books above.
What type of movies or television shows do you watch?
any that catches my attention. basically home stories, supernatural etc
What kind of music do you like?
soft classical,indian or foreign and in indian . like golden oldies as well as gazals. some new songs are good but find that there is more of noise than music in the newones.
What type of foods do you like to eat?
veg. foods. am a vegetarian
Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?
obviously consider myself a liberal but what actually my thoughts are is something that my friends and collegues would know better.
What do you like to do for fun?
play with my kids, or have a good laugh with the friends of my kids or my neighbours. sometimes to surprise them with some nice item cooked and see the smile on their faces.
What are some of your interests?
cooking, oil and fabric painting, travelling, meditating, palmistry and numerology, now a bit of writing also.
What achievements in your life are you most proud of?
on the physical/material plane it is my job and the respect that comes with it. on the emotional plane, my naughty children- they are the joy of my life and the responsibility of making them good citizens. on the healing/spiritual plane,the fact that reiki has helped me to be reiki after a very trying period of my life and the ability of my having it's help to make others feel better through healing.at the spiritual level reiki has helped me in spiritual growth which is comparatively faster than many and hopefully i will achieve moksh in this life and if not then in the next life

How did you find Reiki and how long have you been involved with Reiki?
at the turn of 2000 i was having acute lower back ache and acidity problem in addition i use to be tired all the time. slowly my knees and ankles started paining. then some ladies problems came also. doctors would not do an operation to remove the uterus as my kids were below 5 years that time but they did a slight scraping of the inner lining. i visited a reiki master at the insistence of husband ( he expired in 2004). he had learned reiki but it had apparently went over his head. so i went to learn it, argued a lot with my teacher and did the 21 days practice and found a number of changes occuring, my aches and pains started to leave and i became all right. have not seen any doctor since then. now more than 8 years into reiki.now even the tv chaps have started pestering me for appearing on their shows, which i am presently avoiding
What style or styles of Reiki do you practice?
initially it was the traditional reiki. but now it is modern reiki with addition of karuna reiki and divine reiki
What other (if any) healing modalalites have you practiced besides Reiki?
i cant say actually, have learned lama fera,magnified healing,crystal therapy, dowsing, divine reiki. my reiki master had learned a lot of other healing modalities including pranic healing. she seems to have passed on alot to me and due to her or also due to my habit of experimenting with reiki, i can do a lot of different things which you would strictly not associate with reiki healing. like pulling energy through the palm chakras of the hands from mother earth, air, source, trees,grass etc. pulling out pain etc from a patient during psychic healing to name a few.
