Questionaire

General questions
What do you do for a living?
I am an executive assistant for the VP of a health insurance company. But the company's not that
evil, really.

What religions or philosophies of life do you believe in?
I've been spiritual for most of my life, but never sure in what to believe. I've practiced everything
from almost-Judaism (though I didn't know what I was doing) to paganism to Wicca to evangelical
Christian, and I'm back at the "confused" point. I am thinking of returning to my study of Judaism
since it seems to really be the closest of anything I have known so far.

What are your favorite books?
John Grisham, Tom Clancy, any of Richard Bach's books, any of Robert Heinlein's books, and any holistic health books. Also, SARK's books are wonderful gems, especially "Succulent Wild Woman".

What type of books do you like to read?
I like reading pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Right now, I'm reading a lot of books on
Multiple Sclerosis, since I have been recently diagnosed, and the diagnosis was confirmed as well.

What type of movies or television shows do you watch?
I'm a movie nut, but my favorite movies include (in no particular order): V for Vendetta, The Lord of
the Rings trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Thomas Crown Affair (new), The Matrix triology, Don
Juan de Marco, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Fifth Element, Dune (the director's cut), Fight
Club, The Abyss, Ever After, The Last Unicorn, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

What kind of music do you like?
I'm even more of a music nut than I am a movie nut. Music is my life. I've been a classical
pianist since I was very young. I also play violin, and sing semi-professionally with Madison
Opera and Madison Symphony Chorus. I was a classical music only snob for a long time, but I
started opening up when my ex-husband started introducing me to other genres. Now, I like
everything but country and rap. Favorite classical composers include: Anything from the
Renaissance, especially Palestrina, Victoria and Byrd, Bach violin concerti, Mozart, Beethovan's
3rd Piano Concerto, Gorecki, okay, pretty much anything. Favorite modern groups include:
Loreena McKennitt, Sarah McLachlan, Sky Cries Mary, Dido, Poe, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Staind, Godsmack, Tori Amos, Paula Cole, Belly, Alice in Chains, Adiemus, The Cure, Depeche
Mode, Pink Floyd, Garbage, Mono, Alanis Morissette, Nine Inch Nails, No Doubt, Stabbing
Westward, Steve Miller, Dave Matthews Band, System of a Down, Linkin Park... yeah, pretty much
anything. For massage and Reiki, I like, uhhh, lighter things - Transoceanic, anything ethereal
and relaxing (NOT ENYA).

What type of foods do you like to eat?
I'm particularily fond of Thai, Indian and Chinese food, but I like pretty much anything that doesn't
have raw onions. I like sushi!

Do you consider yourself to be more of a conservative or liberal person?
Liberal.

What do you like to do for fun?
Play violin and piano, sing opera and symphonic choral works, waste way too much time online.

What are some of your interests?
Reiki, music - playing and listening to, movies, spirituality, writing, sex (hey, at least I'm honest).

What achievements in your life are you most proud of?
Making it this far without going insane...and there have been more than a few times it would have
been possible to do so.

Reiki questions

What Reiki level are you?
Practitioner/Teacher

How did you find Reiki and how long have you been involved with Reiki?
First discovered it when a friend had been recently attuned and asked if she could practice on
me. That was a few years ago. I received my Reiki I in May, 2000 and my Reiki II in June, 2000. I
became a Reiki Master/Teacher in September, 2000 at a magical class at the Grand Canyon. My
most recent Reiki achievement was becoming a Karuna ReikiŽ Master in July, 2001. Karuna has
been utterly amazing, powerful and transformational. I credit (blame?) Karuna for shifting my
life's events to a path that was not expected and not very happy, but probably ultimately for the
best.

What style or styles of Reiki do you practice?
Karuna ReikiŽ and Usui/Tibetan Reiki

What other (if any) healing modalalites have you practiced besides Reiki?
Massage, acupressure, aromatherapy, reflexology

If you have a practice and/or teach Reiki, Please list your contact info
(including your class schedule if you have one)
I am on sabbatical at the moment.
